PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains how Strand collects and uses personal information when you visit www.strandsource.com or a briefing page we have shared with you at brief.strandsource.com (together, the "Website"), or when you contact us. It is written to be read in a few minutes.
If you use the Strand platform at app.strandsource.com, the platform's own terms and privacy information also apply to that use.
WHO WE ARE
The Website is operated by Strand Infrastructure Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17272282), with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU ("Strand", "we", "us").
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC259581. You can contact us about anything in it at info@strandsource.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, company, the description you choose for your role (for example talent or representative, brand or agency, studio or production), and anything you write in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you request. This is used to deliver the Website and keep it secure.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
HOW WE USE IT AND WHY
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange demos or meetings you ask for (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract);
- keep a record of our business correspondence (our legitimate interest in running our business);
- keep the Website secure and working properly (our legitimate interest); and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to. We do not sell your personal information.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Website and handle enquiries, and only as far as they need it:
- Formspree, which processes contact form submissions and forwards them to us;
- Vimeo, which hosts the films embedded on our briefing pages;
- Vercel, which hosts the Website; and
- Google Workspace, our email provider.
We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a regulator or court.
FILMS, COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Our briefing pages play films through embedded Vimeo players. We set these players not to track viewers, so Vimeo uses only the cookies strictly needed to play the video.
On this website and our briefing pages we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits to each page and simple actions such as sending a demo request, so we know which pages are useful and whether a briefing we sent has been opened. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you to other websites.
Because we do not use non-essential cookies, we do not show a cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some of our service providers are based in, or store data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, UK adequacy regulations, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep enquiries and related correspondence for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless they become part of an ongoing business relationship, in which case we keep them for as long as that relationship lasts and for any period the law requires afterwards. Technical logs are kept by Vercel for a short period, normally no more than 30 days.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information; and
- ask us to transfer your information to you or another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email info@strandsource.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
COMPLAINTS
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
CHILDREN
The Website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
SECURITY
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to the Website and restricted access to enquiries. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be made clear on the Website.
